I was listening to the show this morning and your discussion of the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation and it struck me that you guys are becoming more and more misogynist. "We don't know what happened in that car!" "She all out and stuff…you don't see Chris Brown anywhere!" "She's mad about that court order to stay away from Chris Brown…oh she don't like that!"
Where do you get that Rihanna is mad about being ordered to stay away from Chris Brown? And I guess she's supposed to cower and let what that man did to her keep her from enjoying life. For the record, the judge didn't intimate that Rihanna was responsible for what happened. He just explained that the restrictive order was a two-way deal. She didn't look pissed to me when she replied, "Yes, your honor" and left the courtroom.
I don't care what went down in the car, Rihanna came out beat down and Chris Brown walked away with nary an injury. Why do you think he pleaded guilty? 'Cause he knew his ass was wrong! I applaud him for that.
Why do black women seem to be catching so much flack from this show lately? We're the back bone of the community, yet we get stomped on publicly and privately. I bet 90% of the people putting money on a brother's book down at Lew Sterett are women. When these men get out of jail, who do you go stay with? Big Mama or your mother. Maybe your sister. You rely on us to pay the bills and keep doctor's appointments straight, take care of the kids and your kids by other women, cook. Open our legs when YOU want it, yet we still get beat down, dissed talked about.
I just don't understand it. I guess Rihanna getting her ass whipped was her fault. I guess everything wrong with the black community and black men is a black woman's fault. I guess Tina owes Ike an apology.
