My grandson's mother has two children. One with my son and another one with a different young man. When she had the baby they guy didn't really want to have anything to do with her and would make statements that this may not be his child. Her parents weren't too fond of this person either and didn't want him to have anything to do with the baby, she moved out of her parents house and moved in with him and his parents. My grandson came to live with us. I didn't understand at the time, why my grandson wouldn't go with her on the weekend, but one day I was taking her back to his house and he called her and spoke to her in a very derogatory way, calling her out of her name and things like that. Well they are both young and I didn't question it. But she begin to tell me some things he said concerning my grandson, let me tell you, as a grandmother I wanted to shake this young man and really put something on his mind. But I didn't, I put my son on alert and informed her that if this guy ever put his hands on my grandson, It wouldn't be nice and she may want to let him know. Well in the mean time she realized that her parents were right about him and she moved to her aunts house, she would let him see their child anytime he wanted to.
One day she saw that he was giving her a hard time about getting the baby back and went to his house while he was gone and picked the baby up. He didn't like that at all. So he called her and pretended as if he wanted to compromise with her about seeing his child, he showed up at her house and asked her to come outside, she went. She said he was talking really nice to her and everything, the next thing you know, he's (alledgely) attacking her with a knife. Stabbing her 4 times She managed to get away from him and ran up to her drive way, her aunt met her at the door. She said blood was everywhere, she was going in and out trying to tell her aunt what happened before she lost her life. Meanwhile my grandson is right there looking at what his mother is going through. This guy went to jail but bonded out and is now waiting for court. My son and I have my grandson at our house. But I'm worried that if they don't put this person away that he will come and do this to her again. The next time she may not be so lucky and my grandson may be a victim too. What can I do to make sure this young man stay in jail and protect my grandson?
