Willis, IT WASN'T WORTH IT?

On your topic "Good Hair", I am reminded of a conversation I had with the woman who does my hair. I didn't have an appointment but just happened to stop in one day to say hello as she was just about to start on a client. The client was a pretty brown-skinned woman and had long, beautiful hair. My beautician is from Ghana in West Africa and her preferred style is closely cropped. Anyway, as the client sat in the chair, my beautician jokingly made the following comment: "Whenever I see hair like this, I think we should have come with you guys on the boat so that we could get some of this hair." After a moment of considering what she said, I seriously replied "It wasn't worth it. Considering all African Americans have endured in America only for some of us to get "good hair", IT JUST WASN'T WORTH IT."

So my question for you and your audience is: "WAS IT WORTH IT"????
